Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s eponymous restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, is coming to Australia for a three-night residency. It’s the fine diner’s first residency outside of London.
The residency will take place at the acclaimed Circular Quay restaurant from Monday 8 – Wednesday 10 May, and has been curated by renowned chefs and long-time friends Gordon Ramsay and Aria’s Matt Moran.
The kitchen will be led by Restaurant Gordon Ramsay chef patron Matt Abé, who first cut his teeth in the Aria kitchen as a 17-year-old.
“It really is an honour to be stepping back into the kitchen at Aria, a place where I first met Gordon, and to show my earliest mentor and friend, Matt Moran, the chef I am today,” says Abé in a statement.
He’ll be joined by Aria’s award-winning team to serve a seven-course menu that champions seasonal Australian produce, in true Aria style. Plus, you can expect a few signature Restaurant Gordon Ramsay dishes such as shellfish raviolo and a pecan praline dessert.
“Collaborating with my dear friend Matt Moran, and talented chef patron, Matt Abé at Aria, with its magnificent views across Sydney harbour, and creating a menu that utilizes Australia’s incredible local produce whilst delivering the finesse of our three-star Michelin menu, is a dream come true,” says Ramsay in a statement.
While Ramsay may not be billed for the pass, we do have word that he will be in the country in May.
