Ingredients Needed for Sausage and Cabbage with Noodles:
Smoked sausage, sliced
White or yellow onion
Egg noodles, uncooked
salt and pepper to taste
- You can use polish sausage, andouille sausage, or even bacon in this dish.
- Don’t like peas? Leave them out.
- Feel free to add any spices and seasonings that your family enjoys.

Sausage Cabbage and Noodles
This dish is easy and delicious! It’s the perfect weeknight dinner!
Servings: 4 servings
- 1 14 ounce package of smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 cup of chopped white or yellow onion
- 6-7 cups of chopped cabbage about 1/2 head
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 4 ounces of cream cheese
- 1 cup of frozen peas
- 1 jar of pimentos
- 1/4 th cup of butter
- 8 ounces of egg noodles uncooked
- Olive oil
Cook noodles according to package directions and set aside. In a large pan or skillet add some olive oil and cook smoked sausage and onion until lightly browned. Next add in butter and chopped cabbage and let cook until cabbage is soft, about 10 minutes on low medium heat. Stir in peas, pimentos, cream cheese and egg noodles and let cook until well combined.
