Mother’s Day is upon us food nerds! If you can, do Mom a solid and give her a call and tell her how much you love her. That will go a LONG ways.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself/family!
A: My husband and I are originally from Hong Kong, and we now live in the beautiful Southern California. We also have a 2.5 year-old daughter who loves food!

Q: What does meal time look like on a daily basis?
A: I love big breakfast, which usually includes eggs, toast, fruits and yogurt. Lunch is relatively small, and since my husband only eats dinner with us at home, I usually cook something a little bit more special that requires more preparation.
Q: How has the Anova Precision Oven made meal time and snack time better/tastier/easier, etc?
A: I grew up eating soft milk bread and I didn’t think there’s a need to make toast with bread. However, the oven made milk bread toast taste even better than plain bread with the steam option! It’s just so good! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.
Also, before getting the oven, I had never cooked anything sous vide anything in my life (don’t judge please haha!). So my mind was blown when I tried the sous vide Char Siu — it’s so tender and much tastier than most of the ones from the restaurants. The oven makes it so easy to make tasty food. Another thing is steaming — the oven makes steaming so much more convenient — whether it’s steamed egg, steamed buns, steamed dumplings… No more boiling water!

Q: What are your favorite things to cook?
A: Things I really love to make are bread and desserts (so much carbs!). I also find bread cooks much faster the APO.
