A Greek salad is a twist on a traditional tossed green salad that usually includes green peppers, olives, cucumber, red onion, tomato, and feta cheese. Today’s recipe’s inclusion of these ingredients is a healthy way to punch up the nutrition of your diet by adding key vitamins and minerals to your well-being. In addition to the ingredients mentioned above, this recipe calls for avocado. The use of avocado isn’t considered traditional but it sure makes a tasty addition to this salad. Make sure not to use one that is too soft or it will get mashed up when you mix all of the ingredients together.
I would like to thank Jaclyn from Cooking Classy for introducing me to this delicious recipe. All you need to do is chop a variety of fresh Mediterranean veggies and olives as well as prepare a simple dressing, and add feta cheese. In no time, you too can enjoy this vibrant and healthy salad. It is a breeze to prepare and makes for a wonderful side dish or main meal.
